Fiona Kettell

Biography

Fiona has a wealth of health and service delivery expertise, underpinned by a career in nursing which included working at the National Hospital for Neurological Conditions. Her professional journey took a personal turn following the birth of her second son, who faces epilepsy and a learning disability. This ignited her commitment to supporting families affected by rare epilepsies through active involvement with a dedicated charity – for the past 15 years, she has served as the Operations Manager of Epilepsy Wales.

Fiona advocates tirelessly to ensure that individuals and families have access to the information and services they need to realise their full potential. On seeing the transformative impact that music therapy had on her son’s mental well-being, communication and motivation, she champions holistic approaches for individuals and families navigating the challenges of epilepsy.
